Be grateful and thankful
Happy and healthy people approach each day as a blessing. Facing the day with gratitude, while approaching virtually every situation and opportunity as a gift, will give you a sense of appreciation for your surroundings as well as give you a happy and positive demeanor. Those who carry a sense of appreciation for life are more likely to share the same appreciation with others while also having a great deal of respect for those around them. Depression and anxiety are far less likely to occur if you’re constantly gracious and grateful for the life you’ve been given.
Enter each day with a fresh outlook
Another quality that happy and healthy people have is a trait that some would identify as the 24 hour rule. Regardless of what happened yesterday, whether you had the best day of your life or quite possibly the worst, once you roll out of bed the issues and events of the previous day are firmly in the past.
Never let the past influence your present behavior and happiness. By never allowing the negativity of the past to carry over into the next day, every 24 hour period is a new chance to be productive and positive. People with this outlook often avoid the human tendency to fall into a funk because no single day will negatively influence the next.
Be happy, shut it down, and then be happy again. Consider it as a cycle of positivity and productive thinking.
Assign purpose to each day
In order to maintain a positive mindset for each 24 hour period, it is considered vital to assign a purpose to and for each day. Don’t waste time, take advantage of your time. Challenge yourself to be the best while using all of your resources to get the job done, whatever the job entails. Never go to bed unfulfilled.
View each day as a gift, but also as a task.
