    Al-Ahly arrive, coach tight-lipped

The coach declined to respond to questions posed by domestic-based media members who took trouble all the way to the airport early in the morning.
It has been uncharacteristic for visiting coaches to shun questions posed by journalist whenever they arrive in Dar es Salaam.
His tight lipped character poses more questions but all in all it highlights how tension has mounted to the visitors ahead of Saturday’s first leg match of the CAF Champions League against hosts Young Africans.
The coach whose name was also not known, only progressed to the bus for transfer to a centrally located hotel in Dares salaam as if there was nothing while journalists were left at crossroads.
Al Ahly was beaten by Young Africans during the same stage of the tournament in 2014 during the first leg.The Egyptians arrived with a contingent of 30 people that include 22 players and officials.
Of the past three visits Al Ahly has made in Tanzania, the 2014 one was costly as they lost by a lone goal to Yanga.
The return leg played in Alexandria ended in favour of the hosts Ahly and then shootout drama dominated.
Both teams tied at the end of the mandatory five epenalties as tension mounted in the added penalties.
The Egyptian team survived a scare at home and progressed to the subsequent stage as Yanga bowed out.
While the visiting coach has kept mum, Yanga’s Dutch coach who was also on board during the 2014 clash, said he has prepared well for the Saturday duel.
Yanga who are holders of the Mainland Tanznia premeiship have been consistent in their CAF Champions League encounters following successful triumphs in their two matches against Mauritius and recently Rwanda soccer kings, APR last month.
The Saturday match is expected to be a thriller basing on the fact that the visitors will gain windfall fanaticism from Yanga’s close archrivals, Simba who also don the same colors as the visitors.
However, the Yanga squad that played against Al Ahly in 2014 has drastically changed though coach Pluijm remains there with his heroics
